Who we are
SmsDesk provides a business texting service. Businesses (our customers) use SmsDesk to send and receive text messages with their own customers from the business's phone number. This policy explains what information we handle and how. Questions: [email protected].
Information we collect
- Sign-up requests: the company name, contact name, email address, phone numbers and notes you enter on our website.
- Account information: names, email addresses and phone numbers of the people our customers give a login to.
- Messages: the text messages sent and received through the service, with the phone numbers, times and delivery status.
- Technical information: IP addresses and browser details needed to run and protect the service.
How we use it
We use this information only to provide the service: delivering messages, routing replies to the right person, sending alerts to our customers' staff, keeping message history, billing, support, and preventing abuse. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use message content for advertising.
Text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Information is shared only with the service providers that carry the messages (such as our SMS carrier partners) so they can be delivered.
Anyone receiving texts through SmsDesk can reply STOP to stop receiving texts from that business, and HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. See our text messaging terms.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run SmsDesk: our hosting provider, our SMS carrier partners, and our email delivery provider. They process information only on our behalf. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Messages and account information are kept while the business's account is active, and deleted within 90 days after the account is closed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Security
Connections to SmsDesk are encrypted. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes, so nobody, including us, can read them. Access to customer data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

To see, correct or delete information about you, contact the business you deal with, or email us at [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top of this page.
