What these texts are
Businesses use SmsDesk to text their own customers from the business's phone number. The texts are one-to-one conversations with a member of the business's staff: answers to your questions, appointment and order updates, quotes, and follow-ups on something you asked about. SmsDesk isn't used for marketing blasts or bulk texts. Each text comes from, and is sent on behalf of, the business you're talking with.
How you agree to texts
A business texts you only after you've agreed to it, in one of these ways:
- You texted the business's number first.
- You gave the business your mobile number (in person, on the phone, by email or on a form) and agreed to receive texts about your request, appointment or account.
Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying anything.
How often
Message frequency varies with your conversation with the business.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan. SmsDesk and the business don't charge you for texts.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts from that business's number. You can also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END or QUIT. You'll get one text confirming you've been unsubscribed, and then no more texts from that number. To start again, reply START.
Help
Reply HELP to any text for help, or contact the business directly. You can also email us at [email protected].
Delivery
Texts work on all major US mobile carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our privacy policy for details.
